Jules has been painting for fifteen years having regularly attended art courses in Gloucester and Devon.  The images are influenced by the local landscape of Dorset as well as travels in Europe and Asia.  Artists' whose work has been most influential include Picasso, Anselm Kiefer and Barbara Rae. Like the picture above of 'The Jurassic Coast' many are abstract and made using mixed media including acrylic paint, ink pastel, charcoal, fabric, paper, bitumen and clay.
